Leading EV Installer Miller EV Solutions Breaking Ground on Client-Focused EV Innovation Design Center

Miller EV Solutions and CBRE are paving the way for innovation and sustainability through the Electric Vehicle Innovation Design Center (EVIDC), a joint initiative in partnership with WB Engineers+Consultants, Schneider Electric, and Graybar. This innovative center, located at 6805 Southpoint Parkway, Jacksonville, Florida, 32216, not only revolutionizes the selection of EV infrastructure and smart city solutions but also drives decarbonization efforts in the region.

Decarbonization is a crucial aspect of the EVIDC’s mission, focusing on the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and promoting the use of low carbon power sources. By achieving a lower output of greenhouse gases, the EVIDC contributes significantly to the decarbonization goals of Jacksonville and the state of Florida.

Located in Jacksonville, the EVIDC is a public facility designed to provide an immersive experience for EV users. With a wide array of level 2 chargers and level 3 DC fast chargers from various manufacturers, the center allows visitors to explore and experience different charging solutions firsthand. Additionally, the center features four pull-through charging stations specifically designed for buses and heavy-duty vehicles, catering to the diverse needs of commercial consumers.

Miller EV Solutions is a leading EV Solutions Provider in the U.S., offering turnkey solutions, trusted partnerships, and innovative hands-on engagement. As a national electrical and technology contractor, Miller Electric is committed to driving innovation, growth, and sustainability in the EV market.

As a lead partner in the EVIDC, CBRE will use the center to demonstrate various EV-charging technologies and formats for its clients and as a training site for its technicians to stay up-to-speed on charging technologies and software. CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services company, advises clients on rollouts of EV-charging networks as well as deployment and maintenance of EV fleets.

The EVIDC serves as an unbiased platform for comprehensive testing and solution combinations. It enables stakeholders to identify the most effective EV infrastructure and smart city solutions to meet client needs and goals.

“The EVIDC represents the power of partnerships in creating value for our community, the EV market, and various industries,” stated Kerri Stewart, Chief Strategy Officer at Miller Electric Company. “We are proud to spearhead decarbonization efforts in Jacksonville and Florida while revolutionizing the way commercial consumers engage with the EV industry.”

The EVIDC stands as a testament to Jacksonville’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. Through collaboration and forward-thinking initiatives, the city continues to position itself as a leader in the EV market and drive the adoption of low carbon power sources.

The Mayor of Jacksonville, Florida, Donna Deegan, and other city leaders will attend the official groundbreaking ceremony, including executives from JEA (Jacksonville Electric Authority) and JTA (Jacksonville Transportation Authority).
